Michigan works! and other partners will host the First Amnesty Day, Friend of the Court’s extermination and resource fair for residents who want to clear bank orders, clear criminal records, search for jobs, and access other services.

The show will be held at Michigan Works !, 499 W. Main Street, Benton Harbor on October 5, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A similar event will be held at the Niles Public Library on October 7th from 1pm to 6pm.

“While we have targeted services for individuals, this will be a great event for the general public as well. We will have many providers there who can help you. Whether you’re looking for training, education, legal help including deletion, or just looking for a new career, this event is for you, ”said Melissa Stolfo, Project Manager for the Second Chance Program at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren.

“We are excited to be hosting the Court’s first Amnesty Day, Expungement and Resource Fair in southwest Michigan and could not have chosen a better time to hold such an event,” said Lisa Jardine, Friend of the Court Director. “We want individuals to know that they will not be arrested on the spot for appearing on the Amnesty program. However, you must attend in person to discuss whether you are eligible. This is a great opportunity for those who want to share their FOC Bench Warrant and are looking for support services to help parents look after their families. “

Masks are compulsory at the event.

The event is hosted by Michigan Works! by Berrien, Cass, Van Buren, and the Berrien County Friend of the Court.
