Blue Back Square hosts summer and pride events – We-Ha

“Summer in the Square” takes place on Wednesday, June 23rd, and a family-friendly “Drag Brunch” on Sunday, June 27th.

The new owners and property managers of Blue Back Square aim to increase the level of energy and activity for people of all ages in the mixed-use West Hartford development and will be on Wednesday 23rd from 5pm to 8pm

The event features live music courtesy of Soul Sound Review, as well as a wandering magician, balloons, and character appearances – including “a friendly neighborhood superhero.”

Shops and restaurants also have special Summer in The Square deals.

West Hartford Pride is holding a Pride Festival and DragFest in the courtyard of Blue Back Square on Saturday June 26th from 1pm to 5pm

On Sunday, June 27th, Blue Back Square will put an exclamation mark on the end of Pride Month as World of Beer (73 Isham Rd.) “Brunch Please!

Artist Brian Colbath has restored the Pride flag painted on Isham Road in Blue Back Square.

Brunch Please! is “an extremely entertaining and family-friendly drag brunch with the best diva in the region Kalysta Kaykes! World of beer will take brunch to a whole new level with this epic brunch show featuring an all-star cast of the area’s most fabulous drag queens including Kalysta Kaykes, Ambrosia Lay Black, Amethyst, Ava Cado and more. Kalysta Kaykes has been producing unprecedented drag events across the region for years, and now these dazzling queens bring their glitz, glamor, attitude and comedy to World of Beer! “

The brunch specials include Pride themes like Rainbow Pancakes, Mimosa Flights and Glittery Cocktails, as well as World of Beer favorites like Hangover Skillet, Brunch Burger and WOB * Star Breakfast. BeerMosas, Bloody Mary’s and the largest selection of beers in the area are also on offer.

Doors open on Sunday, June 27th at 11:30 am, with the first show at 12 noon and the second show at 1:30 pm

The drag shows are free and family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
