It’s the season for growing young business owners and inspiring future changemakers – one lemonade stand at a time!

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spring and summer in North America are the perfect seasons for young children to enjoy the sweet success that comes with starting their own small business. And what could be better than hosting a lemonade stand? Supported by Lemonade Day National Entrepreneurship and Experience Program allows youth in grades K-8 to earn their own money, learn valuable skills that will equip them for life, and contribute to a cause they care about.

“Our Lemonade Day program prepares youth for life by instilling an entrepreneurial mindset. As we recover and rebuild from the COVID-19 crisis, children and adults alike long for community, collaboration, and connection. Our program teaches children business and financial skills, builds character, and guides them in career paths—planting the seeds of innovation that leads to lasting change. Lemonade Day leaders, sponsors and community partners encourage parents, teachers, family members, friends and neighbors, individual children or groups of children to enroll in our free program. We hope to bring this fun and memorable experience to 50,000 children across America this year,” said Nicole Cassier-Mason, Chief Executive Officer of Lemonade Day.

Nickelodeon, the leading children’s entertainment brand, is presenting sponsor of Lemonade Day’s new digital platform, My Lemonade Day. The My Lemonade Day App offers an interactive, animated experience that gives kids access to a series of lessons that guide them through the process of owning and running their own lemonade business. My Lemonade Day can be downloaded for iOS and Android platforms and does not require Wi-Fi for activation.

Lemonade Day activities typically take place from early spring to late summer each year. Accompanied by one or more caring adults, young business owners typically set up their lemonade stands in schools, parks, neighborhoods, places of worship, malls, and other public spaces to maximize their sales opportunities. Kids attending Lemonade Day are taught how to set goals and develop a business plan, map out their plan to find an investment, nurture their creative talents through branding and marketing, and execute their plan to achieve their dreams. You are encouraged to do so output some of her hard-earned money on herself; open a bank account and save some; and split some with a charity.
