Crown Point Babe Ruth’s Fall Ball online registration begins Thursday: For a limited time, CPBR is offering online registration for the Early Autumn Ball at a reduced price. Players and / or teams from Indiana and Illinois are welcome. The league’s age groups are 12-14 and 15-18. As long as you were born in 2003 or later, you are eligible. Summer basketball camp 5.-15. July: Crown Point Parks & Recreation is hosting a summer basketball camp for boys and girls ages 4 to 10 from July 5-15. Little dribblers (4-6 years) meet from 10 am to 11 am; and adolescents aged 7 years (first to eighth grade) from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Camps take place in Solon Robinson Park. NWI Vipers Football Camp 17.-18. July: Two days of skill, speed and dexterity training for 9 to 15 years, sponsored by the NWI Vipers with special guest coaches from local high school soccer programs. Join trainers from Bishop Noll, Lake Central, Morton, Mount Carmel, Whiting and more. Event shirts, drinks and food are provided by the NWI Vipers, as are medals for pass, punt and kick competitions. Check-in time 8:00 a.m. on July 17th, with events from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both days. The camp takes place at Dowling Park, 7436 Parrish Ave., Hammond.
