The New York State Brewers Association is hosting the party of the summer at the BriteVibes Festival

The virus is recovering in some places, but we vaccinated CBBPeople are still excited to enjoy summer events while it’s still considered cool. Who is interested in a roadie to the BriteVibes Festival on September 4th? It’s a one-day event celebrating everything New York State has to offer: craft beer, food, musicians, artists, and more, launched by the New York State Brewers Association in partnership with Brewery Ommegang.

“Nothing brings people together like craft beer and music. This community has been missing each other for the last year or so, and we’re excited to be hosting this kind of in-person event over Labor Day Weekend where people celebrate everything they love about New York, ”said Paul Leone, executive director of New York State Brewers Association.

New York is one of the more local craft beer states and introduced a farm brewery license a few years ago to incentivize more beers made with local ingredients. This hyper-local festival concept is an extension of that ethos. Festival goers will have the opportunity to sample craft beer from every corner of New York state and expose them to breweries that they may not have tried before. Half of the participating breweries are recent winners of the New York State Craft Beer Competition 2021 – some have even won multiple medals for several years in a row.

“It has been over a year since we were forced to close our small tasting room and move to an all-to-go brewery,” said Michael Carter, co-owner of Fidens Brewing Company. “We are excited to be attending Britevibes for the rare opportunity to try our beers with other beer fans!”

BriteVibes’ 30+ breweries take place at Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown (a central location), surrounded by craft vendors, experienced exhibitors, food trucks and live music. On the festival site, a former hop farm, participants can also purchase a camping reservation on site.

Daytime shows include Dirty Blanket, The Old Main, Los Blancos, and Big Time Kitty. The evening concert, which is included with general admission or sold as a separate ticket, opens with oxymorons, followed by Delta Spirit, an indie rock band from California who play at other major festivals in the US, in their first East Coast Show of the year.

To complete the festival experience, participants can take part in the BruBag competition, combine the rules of beer pong with cornhole games, try the thrilling ax-throwing experience of Bury the Hatchet, or support New York-based artisans.

“It’s summer in New York, and after the last year and a half, how could you possibly want to do anything other than listen to great music and a few New York beers outside with some friends?” Says Dan Bronson, general manager, SingleCut Beersmiths . “The entire existence of SingleCut is based on the combination of beer and music, and BriteVibes is turning into an incredible weekend.”
