The City of Cambridge announced today that it will be available from Thursday 9-16 while supplies last.

These clinics only offer the Moderna booster and will be located on the city’s COVID-19 test site on the third floor of the CambridgeSide shopping center during regular test times from Monday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

“Vaccination and booster vaccination are important to protect yourself, your family and your community,” said Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and city manager Louis A. DePasquale in a joint statement. “We want the Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative to work so quickly to ensure that these clinics can make it easier for residents to get a booster dose, and we look forward to adding more options in the coming weeks.”

Those interested in a booster vaccination can learn more and make an appointment here.

Residents are entitled to a booster dose if they have received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and it has been at least 6 months since your second dose. Residents who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are also eligible if at least 2 months have passed since their first dose. As a reminder, residents can combine vaccines and do not need to buy the same brand of vaccine for their booster vaccine as they did for their original COVID-19 vaccination.

The test and vaccine site is on the third floor of the CambridgeSide shopping center. Please use the escalator near the Cheesecake Factory at the CambridgeSide Place end of the mall or take the elevator to get to the 3rd level. Free parking is available on the lower level of the car park and the entrance is on CambridgeSide Place.

The City and Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative are currently planning additional vaccination and booster clinics and more information will be posted at www.cambridgema.gov/covid19 as it becomes available.

All residents aged 5 and over are advised to get vaccinated and receive a booster dose if necessary. To find a vaccination center near you, visit https://vaxfinder.mass.gov.
