The City of Bend is hosting an open house next week for Neff and Purcell’s improvement project

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – The City of Bend is hosting an in-person open house next week to share information about Neff and Purcell’s improvement project.

This high-priority project will provide north-south connectivity and improve safety and capacity, officials said. The open house includes an overview of the project, the expected construction schedule and traffic impact, as well as an opportunity to meet the project team.

DATE/TIME: Thursday, November 17, 2022, 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m
LOCATION: Deschutes Children’s Foundation, 2125 NE Daggett Lane

The project includes two construction areas and an infrastructure for all modes of transport. Neff and Purcell’s intersection improvements address capacity, efficiency and safety issues at the intersection. The entire intersection will also be leveled to provide ADA compliant intersections.

The Purcell Expansion will build the missing section of Purcell Boulevard between Holliday Avenue and Courtney Drive. This portion of the project also includes the construction of sidewalks along both sides of Purcell Boulevard between Holliday Avenue and Full Moon Drive where gaps currently exist.
