Pembroke and Laurentian Valley are hosting Spooky Movie Night at Skylight Drive-In
The City of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley Community are excited to be back together for Spooky Movie Night at the Skylight Drive-In.
This free movie night will take place on October 16th and the gates will open at 5:00 p.m. The first film starts at around 6:30 p.m., followed by the second at around 8:30 p.m.
The two scary films that are shown are Hotel Transylvania, followed by goosebumps.
The communities said that they have plenty of sponsors on board again this year and thanks to their generosity there will be lots of fun that evening, including free treat bags for all children present, popcorn vouchers for the first 400 people through the gates and a Costume competition with prizes for the best family, youth and adult costumes.
This event requires tickets per truckload, so get them before they leave. (https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/spooky-movie-night-2021-tickets-182036836077)
If you have a ticket and can’t use it, the organizers ask that you return it through Eventbrite so that someone else can use it.
Those wishing to enter the costume contest must meet before the first film begins. The evaluation takes place at 6 p.m. at the playground. Mayor Bennett of Laurentian Valley and Deputy Mayor Gervais of Pembroke City will judge the costume contest.
While you are present with your car load, the Skylight Drive-in allows you to sit outside your vehicle in a garden chair as well as sit in the back of your truck / van / SUV. Sitting outside of your vehicle is allowed as long as everyone is able to keep a distance of 2 meters from other moviegoers. Masks must be worn when entering the building for the snack bar or washroom.
In addition to the Halloween celebrations, we also accept donations to St. Joseph’s Food Bank.
