Hillrose-Snyder Volunteer Fire Department will host the Memorial Poker Run fundraiser on Saturday, the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

All types of motorcycles and other vehicles are welcome. The cost is US $ 20 per hand and registrations last from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the starting point: the Hillrose-Snyder Volunteer Fire Department Hall at 301 Emerson Street. The department expects between 80 and 150 participants. who lost their lives in service two decades ago.

The money raised through this event will benefit the Hillrose-Snyder Volunteer Fire Department directly by helping them purchase necessary equipment and tools that are used regularly.

The run will take place in rain or shine, although no rain is currently forecast.

The stops of the run are in this order: Brush Fire Department, Washington County Golf Club in Akron, Sterling Fire Department, Peetz Volunteer Fire Department, Merino Volunteer Fire Department. The last stop of the run will again be at the Hillrose-Snyder volunteer fire department. Physical copies of the route sheets will be provided during registration.

Food will be available in Hillrose from 2:00 p.m. and all tickets must be handed in by 3:00 p.m. Cash prizes are given to the players with the best hands.
