Greenwich-based Abilis is hosting a two-day job fair as the nonprofit seeks to fill over 70 positions

GREENWICH – With 70+ positions open, Greenwich-based nonprofit Abilis is preparing to host a two-day job fair next week.

Prospective employees and job seekers are encouraged to attend the Abilis Job Fair and interview on-site for vacancies from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 13 at the Abilis Therapy Center, 1150 Summer St. in Stamford and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Abilis headquarters at 50 Glenville Street in Greenwich.

“Abilis has been an integral part of Fairfield County for 70 years, providing services and support to our special needs community,” said Amy Montimurro, CEO and President of Abilis.

“Over the past year we have seen rapid growth serving the 800 people with special needs and their families, expanding our programs and services in cities like Greenwich, Darien, Norwalk, Stamford, Ridgefield and Westport,” said Montimurro. “We have expanded programs and services as the needs of the community have grown, so we are hiring to fill these wonderful and fulfilling positions.”

Abilis cares for people with special needs from birth throughout their lives. Vacancies exist in various areas of its programs and services, including therapists for the Abilis Therapy Center; Life coaches in the LEAP program in Darien, Norwalk, Westport and Wilton; Advisor; Occupational therapists and physiotherapists; Behavioral support; Residential and catering positions; and more.

Full-time and part-time positions include management and assistance functions, specialist and hourly functions.
