‘Feed Louisville’ hosting fundraiser to help homeless people in winter

Feed Louisville is working to ensure the city of Louisville’s homeless population is fed during the current bitterly cold temperatures. On Saturday February 5th the organization teamed up with the Highlands Douglas Neighborhood Association to host a supply drive. Among other things, they collected blankets, tents and hand warmers. Organizers say now is an important time to help those in need. “Getting people out of the weather is really critical,” said Rhona Kamar, co-founder of Feed Louisville. “This is the kind of bitter weather to have fatalities. So it’s critical right now.” If they couldn’t make it on Saturday, they’ll ride again today from 2pm to 4pm at Douglass Boulevard Christian Church.
