Jackson Antiques and Collectors Show. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October. American 1 Event Center, Keeley Park, downtown Jackson. It’s a picker’s dream. Lost Railway Museum Celebration of the Success Party. The event begins at 5:30am with hors d’oeuvre, welcome, introduction and new displays. At 6:30, Toast and Recognition, visit the displays. Homecoming of Jackson High School. Activities leading up to the Tecumseh-Jackson football game include: Food Truck Tailgate (4:30-7:00 p.m.), Alumni All Star Basketball Game (6:00 p.m.), Homecoming Parade (starts at 6:00 p.m. at Walmart), game starts at 7:00 p.m. Halftime show with the JHS Marching Band and the JHS Alumni Band.

Zoerman’s zombies. Haunted 3D experience at ART 634. The ghosts of former prisoners that haunt the old factory buildings of Jackson’s Fork and Hoe District have possessed the artists of Art 634. Will you escape Zoerman’s Closet in this haunted 3D experience? Only if you can convince the demon baby. $20 per person. K105.3 Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff. 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 2nd Annual K105.3 Fall Fest & Chili Classic sponsored by Tripp’s Auto Shop, County National Bank, Bud Light and Monster Motors. Downtown Jackson. This FREE event features a variety of family-friendly fall activities, the K105.3 Chili Cook-Off and live music on the streets of downtown Jackson. There will be 2 designated areas for purchasing tasting bracelets. The Maestro returns. 19:30 o’clock. Jackson Symphony Orchestra. Conductor Laureate Stephen Osmond returns to the podium to conduct Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony and Ravel’s La Valse. In collaboration with world-renowned concert pianist William Westney, Osmond Richard presents Addisell’s poignant Warsaw Concerto. This program is sure to have one or two surprises in store! Art a Loan open house. 12 o’clock. Ella Sharp Museum. Join us in celebrating the achievements of our 2022 Art à Loan Students and Jackson District Library Young Poets during our Art à Loan Open House! Artwork and poetry can be viewed with no admission fee, professionally framed and hung in the hallways of the Ella Sharp Museum. We will have light refreshments available.

Acoustic improvisation with Jim Reed. 14 o’clock. Bring your guitar, bass or other instrument to play in small combos or as a soloist on stage. Electric and acoustic piano provided (and a 1956 Hammond B3). Multi-instrumentalist Jim Reed will moderate this two-hour exploration. fun is promised. Free admission! Tecumseh Center for the Arts Auditions. The Tecumseh Center for the Arts, in association with The Tecumseh Players, the TCA Big Band and VocalAires, is hosting auditions for its production of the WTCA radio show A Christmas Carol. Auditions for the WTCA radio show will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the rehearsal room at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts, 400 N. Maumee St, Tecumseh, Michigan. The rehearsal room is on the southeast corner of the building. Advance booking is recommended by going to www.theTCA.org and click on the Checkout tab. You can also register on the day of the auditions. Dates for the WTCA radio show performances are December 10th and 11th, with rehearsals to follow.
