This little underground

Hailing from Daytona Beach, Virginity began making music in unlikely ways in 2018. The band’s current singer and guitarist Casey Crawford never intended to form a band. He wrote a few tunes about his own mental health and sent them to his friend Jim Steffen. Steffen encouraged his friend to write more songs and soon became the band’s drummer. Her bassist Jordan Shroyer got the tracks under control and felt the same way. That was where the stuff for a band and a record came from.

Three years and an eternity later of a pandemic, Virginity is perfecting its craft. The band has already released four tracks from POPMORTEM, each a masterpiece for adults. Existential fears, the drifting apart of friends, and the incessant passage of time with the kind of sad solidarity our dark hearts crave, even when we refuse to admit it. Things still suck, but it’s better together. So get annoyed wear your mask hear some new tunes And dance out your dark hearts, Orlando.
