GROUP MEETING: The Northwest Neighborhood Association meets Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue NW. The doors open at 18:00 and the program starts at 18:30. Guest speaker is Michael Keys, Director of Community Development at Warren.

FARM BUREAU DAY: The Trumbull County Farm Bureau, in partnership with Cockeye Creamery, is hosting a Farm Bureau Day and Dairy Celebration to celebrate National Dairy Month, Saturday from 3-8 p.m. at the Cockeye Creamery, 1805 Parkman Road, Warren. The month honors dairy and farming families. The Farm Bureau will have a display table.

CHILDREN’S SUMMER CAMP: Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church in Liberty hosts a children’s summer camp for children ages 7 and up. The camps take place during the weeks of June 13-16, June 28-30, July 12-14, July 25-28 and August 8-11. Visit PVChurch.net for more information

HUBBARD ROTARY FUNDRAISER: The Hubbard Rotary Club sponsors a Sandman project and is taking orders. The project provides sand for children’s sandboxes in Hubbard City and Township. LIBRARY SPEAKER: The Girard Free Library will speak Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. from Allyson Wilson, a 2002 graduate of Girard High School. Wilson is a picture book illustrator, including Luna Muna: A Young Astronaut’s Space Adventures. She will read the book to children and discuss her illustrations and space themes. SOCIETY HOSTS SALE: The Howland Historical Society will be holding a Flea Market June 9-11 from 11am-4pm at 9441 King Graves Road NE. To donate items, call 330-398-0667 or 330-502-5098. No clothing or large furniture will be accepted.

Vaccine Clinic: Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St SE, Warren will be the site of a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Saturday from 11am to 2pm. GOLF CLASSIC: Youngstown Jewish Community Center is hosting its annual Suzi Solomon Golf Classic on June 13th at Squaw Creek-Avalon Golf and Country Club, 761 Youngstown Kingsville Road SE, Vienna Center.

Registration and lunch is at 11:30am, start time is 12:45pm. The cost is $185 per person. Funding opportunities are available.

Sponsors and participants contribute to the success of JCC offerings: wellness programs, adult and youth education, cultural engagement, outreach and more. This event raises the funds needed to deliver free meals to older adults across the valley each week, teach life-saving water safety skills to swimmers of all ages, provide Camp JCC scholarships to local children, create programs designed to bring the community together, and more more.

Suzi Solomon was an avid golfer and skier, as well as an active member of Youngstown’s Jewish community. Through the generosity of the Suzi Solomon Philanthropic Fund of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, the JCC pays tribute to Suzi by hosting the golf outing. For over 65 years, the JCC of Youngstown has worked to meet the needs of the local community and make a lasting impact.

RED CROSS SEEKS NOMINATIONS: The American Red Cross of Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley is seeking nominations to honor individuals from the Mahoning Valley for bravery and heroic actions in an emergency. The awards will be presented at the Acts of Courage and Spirit of the Red Cross awards ceremony on September 30 at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield.

Submit the names of the nominees to www.redcross.org where there is a nomination form. Nominees must reside or work in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana counties. The specific mutiny must have taken place between January 2021 and June 1, 2022.
