Circumference Group Accelerates Expansion by Appointing Finance and Analytics Professionals

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 18, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Circumference Group, a unique, operationally focused investment firm led by former CEO of Endurance International, Jeff Fox, announced today that it has joined Chad Brown, Joe Hill and Forrest Short to new positions focused on private investing as the company continues to expand its investment platform.

In their new roles, Mr. Brown, Mr. Hill and Mr. Short will use their proven financial and investment experience to support the Circumference Group in their investments in people building companies. The addition of Mr. Brown, Mr. Hill and Mr. Short further enhances the operational and strategic expertise of the Circumference Group and builds on the recent appointment of industry leaders Kurt Silverman, Luca Sechi and Virgil Prewitt to leadership roles at the company.

Chad Brown returns to the Circumference Group as Vice President, Private Investments, where he is the premier financial and analytical resource for the company’s private investment initiatives. Prior to that, he was Director of Research for the Circumference Group from 2009 to 2019, where he was responsible for identifying, researching and monitoring public holdings.

Between his positions at the Circumference Group, Mr. Brown was Director of Strategic Finance at Constant Contact / Endurance from 2019-2021. In this role, he carried out due diligence on potential M&A targets, carried out two transactions and, after the transaction, was the lead finance partner of the target companies. Mr. Brown holds an AB in Economics from Harvard University and serves on the boards of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas and the Hat Club.

Joe Hill serves as Vice President, Private Investments, and leads the Circumference Group’s lower mid-market buyout initiative. In this role, Mr. Hill pursues control acquisition opportunities for regionally based companies with less than $ 10 million annual cash flow, focusing primarily on perpetual companies with strong track records in business-to-business software or services, telecommunications, and others Software focused and technology based services. Prior to that, he worked for private company investments at Circumference Group from 2013 to 2017.

Prior to returning to the Circumference Group, Mr. Hill helped set up the Enterprise Transformation Office for Endurance International Group and served as chief financial officer for the company’s HostGator brand. Mr. Hill also served as an analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group of Bank of America and the Investment Banking Division of Stephens Inc. He holds a BS in Economics from the University of Arkansas.

Forest short is an associate at Circumference Group, where he focuses on investing in private companies. Previously, he was an associate at Harbert Management Corporation, where he worked on private investments in the infrastructure, power and renewable energy sectors. Prior to Harbert, Mr. Short was an investment banking analyst at Guggenheim Securities and Stephens Inc., where he advised on M&A and financing transactions. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi.
