I’m a celebrity … get me out of here! 2002 ITV graced for the first time.

Since then, the soon-to-return show has been a hot topic and popular show that takes place annually. Traditionally set in Australia, the British show has earned a reputation for resurrecting many showbiz careers.

From Christopher Biggins to Kerry Katona to Christopher Biggins, the program has shown a variety of stars.

Since the coronavirus pandemic in 202, the show has shifted its setting from the Australian jungle to Wales. Gwrych Castle , where the series will also be held this year. In this article, we’ll take a look at the show’s previous winners and where they stand now.

Who are the previous ones? I’m a celebrity … get me out of here as a winner?

Tony Blackburn (2002)

Tony Blackburn, the first to take home the crown, won I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2002.

The career successes of the experienced radio DJ include two awards for his life’s work from the Radio Academy.

In 2020 Blackburn collaborated with Kaiser Chief’s Ricky Wilson on a new series podcast titled Ricky and Tony’s Pop Detectives. The show was about dispelling myths about the life and music of pop stars.

Phil Tufnell (2003)

A retired English cricketer, Tufnell was the second crowned king of the jungle in I’m A Celeb’s second series. He joined the show the same year he retired from professional cricket.

Phil’s win was a launch pad for him, featured on several other TV shows, including recap in BBC Radio’s Test Match Special, as well as team captain on BBC’s A Question of Sport from 2008 to 2021.

Kerry Katona (2004)

Kerry Katona celebrates the crown as the very first jungle queen. The former girl band pop star has continued to be a hot topic in the press since her 2004 win. She returned to Atomic Kitten in 2012, performing on Dancing on Ice and CelebrityBigBrother (2011).

The pop star also appears occasionally on Loose Women and shares more details about her life and activities.

More recently, Katona signed up to post her pics on the OnlyFans adult site. Kerry was open about her mental health struggles as well as her self-confidence from weight loss.

Joe Pasquale (2004)

The same year Katona took the crown home, a second series of I’m A Celeb aired. This time comedian Pasquale won.

That success helped kickstart his career when he had an ITV special called An Audience in 2005. Known for his squeaky Cockney accent, the comedian’s guest appearances include ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’ and ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’.

He is also known for his portrayal of Garfield in Garfield 2 (2006). In 2020, he starred in the panto film THE GIFT to raise money for the NHS.

Carol Thatcher (2005)

As the second journalist, author and media personality, Thatcher was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

After working as a broadcaster for several national radio stations such as LBC and BBC Radio 4, she appeared on several television programs following her jungle success.

This also includes freelance work on the BBC The One Show, where she shot reports and discussed with moderators and guests in the studio (2006-2009). Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s daughter can be seen in Netflix’s The Crown (2020).

Matt Willis (2006)

Former boy band member Willis entered the jungle for the sixth series of the program. His charm and charisma convinced the audience and led him to take the crown home with him this year.

He then successfully ventured back into music with Busted and the McFly mash-up band McBusted. Willis has also shown his acting talent on the theater stage, with Wicked and on television (Birds of a Feather, Eastenders).

He went on and is still married to TV presenter Emma Willis. They have three children together.

Christopher Biggins (2007)

Known as a veteran of panto performance, Biggins won the seventh season of I’m A Celeb. This victory was a kind of career revival for him.

This was followed, however, by an infamous appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, where derogatory remarks quickly led to his demise on the show, which resulted in his being fired.

In 2017 he received the Lifetime Achievement Prize at the Great British Pantomime Awards.

The actor has an upcoming tour in December that will feature in Jack & The Beanstalk.

Joe Swash (2008)

A TV favorite, actor and presenter Swash won series eight on the popular ITV program. The lovable Eastenders star appeared on I’m A Celeb after quitting the BBC soap that same year.

Aside from soaring, Joe also hit quite a rock bottom as he reportedly went bankrupt in November 2009. However, it continued to stay on the television screens as featured on television shows like ITV’s Loose Women for their Day Contests.

While hosting the I’m A Celeb spin-off extra camp, he met his fiancée Stacey Soloman in 2010. This year they hosted the show together. In 2019 they had their first child together, Rex.

Joe won Dancing on Ice in 2020 and was a Celebrity MasterChef candidate earlier this year.

Gino D’Acampo (2009)

Famous for his Italian dishes, celebrity chef Gino DGino D’Acampo won the 9th series. His charismatic character drew viewers when they voted to keep him until the finals where he took the crown home!

That win led him to become a regular on ITV’s This Morning and a Celebrity Juice Regular. From 2020 he has been the host of Family Fortunes since the restart.

Stacey Soloman (2010)

Just two years after her fiancé won, Stacey joined Joe to become an I’m A Celeb winner! Soloman’s positive personality won over viewers after her appearance as a candidate on X-Factor in 2009.

Since then, Solomon, like Joe, has continued to be a TV favorite as she regularly appears on ITV’s Loose Women. She has also published several books, her most recent being Tap to Tidy: Organizing, Crafting & Creating Happiness in a Messy World, which was published earlier this year.

Dougie Poynter (2011)

As the bass player for the boy band McFly, Poynter won the 2011 edition of I’m A Celeb! Although the band has been on hiatus for a few years since Dougie’s victory, they have reunited to release new music and touring, including one that will hit the O2 Arena in November.

Charlie Brooks (2012)

Charlie Brooks, best known for the role of Eastenders-Villanelle Janine Butcher, was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2012. She continued to portray Butcher on the BBC soap after her win until 2014.

Charlie made a glamorous return to Eastenders this year, continuing to play the character of Janine.

Kian Egan (2013)

Westlife star Kian starred in the 2013 series and was crowned King of the Jungle. After his success on the show, he released his first solo album, which made it into the top 10 on the UK charts.

His television appearances have since evolved as a coach at The Voice of Ireland, and his personal life has led him to marry the actress and Jodi Albert. Today he is the proud father of three sons.

Westlife reformed in 2018 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in the music industry in 2019. This was their best-selling tour to date. They also released a new album, Spectrum, which shot to number 1 on the charts. The boy band reunited this summer to perform their first concert in two years since the pandemic.

Carl Fogarty (2014)

Superbike Champion Fogarty was the winner of the 14th series, known to have eaten camel penis and ostrich anus in the live finals!

Fogarty was awarded an MBE in 1998. Earlier this month, on September 10th, Foggy partnered with RM Sports Events for an event called “An Evening With Carl Fogarty.”

Vicky Pattison (2015)

Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison won the 15th season of I’m A Celeb. Vicky appeared on Celebrity SAS, but was quickly eliminated after presenting herself to an oil drum challenge that involved carrying a heavy object up a hill in twos.

She stated that she could no longer let her partner down, so she tore off her badge before leaving. Vickie has been in love with Ercan Ramadan since 2019.

Scarlett Moffatt (2016)

Moffatt started her career unexpectedly on Channel 4’s goggle box and has enjoyed a successful career as a television personality and winning the 2016 series of I’m a Celebrity is just one example of that!

Since then, she has hosted And and Dec’s Saturday Takeaway in 2017 and 2018, and made several other TV appearances. Moffatt now has a podcast entitled Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe on BBC Radio 1.

Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo (2017)

Georgia stepped into the public eye in 2017 through the reality series “Made in Chelsea” from E4 and won the jungle crown. In the summer of this year, she worked with the trendy fashion house SHEIN to bring a new clothing collection onto the market.

Harry Redknapp (2018)

Former football manager Harry Redknapp warmed the hearts of viewers on the 2018 series and helped him take the crown home with him this year. Throughout the show, he talked about his love for his 54-year-old wife, Sandra.

Harry and Sandra have been with Celebrity Gogglebox since then, and Harry has made several other TV appearances.

Jacqueline Jossa (2019)

Former Eastenders star Jacqueline Jossa was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2019. Since leaving the show, Jacqueline has been working hard at the performing arts school she founded, Jac Jossa Academy.

She has also partnered with clothing company In The Style to bring out her own collections.

Giovanna Fletcher (2020)

The pandemic forced the location of I’m A Celeb to stay in the UK for the twentieth series. This meant that the author, actress and blogger Giovanna Fletcher received her crown at Gwrych Castle. In combination with Penguin books, Fletcher is holding ‘An Evening with Giovanna Fletcher’ this November to celebrate the release of her brand new book Walking On Sunshine.

When will I be a celebrity … get me out of here?

The exact date of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here has not yet been announced by ITV, but it usually takes place in mid-November each year. However, it has been confirmed that it will occupy the palace in the same location as last year, at Gwrych Castle.
