100 Women Who Care West Shore to hold next gathering in Colwood on September 15 – Oak Bay News

The charity 100 Women Who Care West Shore will meet again on September 15, this time in a brand new location.

The September meeting will be held at the Royal Colwood Golf Club, with registration and welcome with refreshments from 6pm and the meeting itself will be from 7pm to 8pm

At its quarterly meetings, the organization brings together more than 100 women from the community who are passionate about serving the needs of the local community and want to take action together. At each meeting, the group listens to three presentations from organizations before voting on which will receive the donations raised that night.

Each woman writes a check to the successful group, and donations can quickly reach over $10,000.

For example, in June, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Victoria were selected, and $4,000 in donations was raised in one hour.
